Point of view(also called "viewpoint") is the vehicle that drives the audience through the story. In most modern fiction, the POV is usually a character, either first-person (I) or third person (he/she/they/it). This is the person who narrates the story-- we see the scene through the POV character's eyes, hear through the ears, and so on. There's also a common variation, the "omniscient narrator" who isn't a character in the story, but more an authorlike personage who knows all. Confused? Well, listen in as we discuss the basics of POV, that essential writing element that brings the story to life for your audience.
